What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is the tool used in RTT™ to access the subconscious mind or the deepest layer of the mind. – hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation like meditation except the subconscious mind is very alert. When you are is in hypnosis, the conscious mind relaxes and is by-passed, your subconscious mind can then be accessed. The conscious mind is critical and analytical and sorts information by noticing differences, where-as the subconscious mind readily accepts suggestions and acts upon them. The subconscious mind contains all your memories, belief systems, childhood, and life conditionings. It also regulates body maintenance, and autonomic processes like breathing, blood circulation and tissue regeneration. It is the seat of your emotions and directs nearly all your behaviour. By using hypnosis to access the subconscious mind we can change unwanted behaviours, reprogram old beliefs & change negative thinking to positive thinking using targeted suggestions. RTT™ replaces the suggestions that are causing behaviours or a distorted reality. Other types of therapy (psychology, psychotherapy etc) address a behaviour or dysfunction by analysing it from the conscious mind where RTT™ goes to the source of where the problem began.

Does it work?

Yes. Hypnosis & in particular Rapid Transformational Therapy™ has worked & continues to work for thousands of people just like you, no matter the issue. It’s simple, proven and rapidly effective. RTT™ and hypnosis is a bit like opening up the inside of your computer. They provide direct access to the root and the cause of your issue. We are not wasting time talking about what your conscious mind thinks may be the cause. Your subconscious mind already has the answers.

Will I be asleep?

No. You are awake and alert, aware of everything that is happening throughout the session. RTT™/Hypnosis is a sleep of the nervous system. You don’t actually go to sleep. You are fully aware and in control. It’s a deep meditative state. Many clients experience a feeling of being deeply relaxed and not actually hypnotized. How you feel during the session is no indication on how effective it is. It is working, no matter what!

Will I be under your power during hypnosis?

No. You are in charge. You cannot be made to do anything and you cannot be taken into hypnosis against your will.

What if I can't be hypnotised?

You can. Everyone can. As long as you WANT to enter hypnosis, you will. It’s an easy, enjoyable and thoroughly relaxing process.

When will I start to see change?

There are 3 types of change in Rapid Transformational Therapy™. Immediate change: You feel a massive shift right away – immediate change in your physiology, thoughts and behaviours right in the session. Incremental change: You see consistent shifts every day, or over time. Retroactive: You don’t see the shifts right away and then one day you suddenly look back and see all of the things that are different in your life. Each person is unique and responds differently. (You may experience a combination of these various kinds of results. All are extremely beneficial, and what they have in common is that you think about life in a way that allows you to be more positive, productive, and powerful.)

What if I uncover something I don't want to share?

You are in complete control during hypnosis & if you don’t wish to share something, you won’t. It’s ok to keep details to yourself, I can still help you as long as you can tell me how the unnamed details affect you (as in how they make you feel).

What is Mindfulness Therapy?

Mindfulness from a therapeutic, secular perspective is a conscious awareness of our present moment. This includes openness and non-judgment about the experience. Mindfulness therapy is not concerned with relaxation, though that might be a result of certain practices. The focus is on increasing our awareness of the thoughts, feelings, and actions that hinder our progress. When we are better able to do that, we can engage with those aspects of ourselves, learn to tweak our language, and choose how to respond

Am I assured of confidentiality?

Absolutely. All clients are assured of confidentiality about any disclosed material, in accordance with professional codes of ethics. I do not contact other practitioners or doctors who the client may also be seeing, without the client’s permission. I destroy inactive files after three years in order to assure clients total confidentiality.
